He attended [schools] and went on to [university/college], later working as a [profession] at [employer]. He was proud of his work and generous with what he earned, quietly paying fees for cousins and helping friends start out.
He married [spouse's name] in [year], and they were blessed with [children's names]. He loved [football / music / his car] and never missed [a team / an event].
On [date] our brother passed on [after a short illness / in an accident]. He was too young, and we are still trying to understand.
He leaves his wife [name], his children [names], our parents [names], his siblings [names] and many friends. Brother, we will look after your family. Rest in peace.

- Promise what the family will do for those he leaves behind, if you can.
- Avoid speculating about how he died.
How do you write a eulogy for a Brother?
Follow their life in order: birth and early life, education, work, family, faith and character, a brief and gentle word on their passing, and a farewell. Add one or two true stories. It is fine to include a childhood story or two.
How long should a eulogy be?
When read aloud, about five to seven minutes, or 700 to 900 words. In a printed programme it can be a little longer.
